Lewisville First-Time Homebuer Assistance Program
    The program pays 1.5% of sales price downpayment assistance and closing cost assistance ranging from 80-95%. Average assistance Available mortgage loan types include Conventional, FHA, and VA.
     
Funds are available to first-time homebuyers earning $61,700 and below
  The home must be located in the Lewisville city limits.
  The home sale price can not exceed certain federal limits.
  All family members' (over 18 yrs. old) income must be inclded
  A first-time home buyer is defined as someone who has not owned a home in three years. Under first-time home buyer programs, single parents and displaced homemakers automatically are considered first-time homebuyers.
  Must use a participating lender.
  Funds available on a first come basis.
     
   
Denton County Mortgage Credit Certificate Program (MCC)
    The qualified homebuyer is eligible to write off a portion of the annual interest paid on the mortgage as a special tax credit, not to exceed $2000, during each year that they occupy the home as their principal residence. The portion or amount of the tax credit is equal to the mortgage credit rate on the MCC of 35% multiplied by the annual interest paid.
